Barrington Little League Beats Connecticut 4-0 to Advance to Regional Final

Barrington is one win away from advancing to the Little League World Series.

Barrington beat Madison, Connecticut 4-0 on Friday afternoon to advance to the New England Regional Final against New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday’s game is set for 1 p.m.

Barrington's Offense Explodes in 5th

With the game tied at zero in the bottom of the fifth, Barrington’s offense came through.

With men on second and third with no outs, Barrington’s Lucas Tanous hit a line-drive single to right field to score two runs and put Barrington up 2-0.

Barrington would add to their lead when Owen Pfeffer smacked a bases-loaded line-drive single to right field to score Tanous and Will DiGiacomo, and give Barrington a 4-0 lead. 

In the bottom of the sixth, Barrington pitcher Alex Anderson finished off his complete-game shutout to seal the win.

Anderson pitched all six innings and recorded four strikeouts.

RI vs New Hampshire

Rhode Island and New Hampshire already played each other once in the regionals.

That came on Thursday, August 8 when Goffstown, New Hampshire held off Barrington 2-1.
