NEW: Brown Makes Debut, Patriots Cruise Past Miami 43-0
The New England Patriots beat the Miami Dolphins 43-0 on Sunday afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
The game saw Antonio Brown make his Patriots debut just days after being accused of sexual assault and rape by his former trainer, as GoLocalProv reported.
In the game, Brown hauled in four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown, all of which came in the first half.

They blitzed up the middle, and then I got him on the out-cut when they played post-safety. That's what I'm going to try to do all year, just throw it to the guy that's open," said Patriots quarterback Tom Brady after the game.
Brady targeted Brown four more times in the second half, but the two were unable to connect.
The Patriots improve to 2-0 on the season, while Miami falls to 0-2.
Patriots Beat Dolphins
The Patriots got on the board on their first offensive possession of the game when Sony Michel ran it into the end zone from one-yard out to give New England a 7-0 lead following a Stephen Gostkowski extra point.
On the drive, Brady connected with Brown three times in ten plays to help lead to the score.
In the second quarter, Brady found Brown in the corner of the end zone for a 20-yard touchdown pass to put the Patriots up 13-0 after Gostkowski missed an extra point.
After a Gostkowski field goal put the Patriots up 16-0 with 8:45 to play in the third quarter, the Patriots offense would strike again six minutes later.
This time, Brady called his own number and rushed in from one-yard out to put New England up 23-0 after a Gostkowski extra point.
Brady completed 20 of 28 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns in the contest.
Patriots Defense Takes Over
With the score 23-0, the Patriots defense took over.
Cornerback Stephon Gilmore picked off Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and ran it back 54 yards to the end zone for a touchdown to make the score 30-0 after a Gostkowski extra point.
On Miami’s very next possession, Jamie Collins picked off Fitzpatrick and ran it back 69 yards for a touchdown to give New England a 37-0 lead following a Gostkowski extra point.
In total, the Patriots defense recorded seven sacks for 44 yards and four interceptions.
New England held the Dolphins to just one third-down conversion on 12 attempts and less than 130 total yards of offense.
“I thought this was a good job of- early in the season, not much film on Miami - of just trying to go over everything, go over some of our offense through the years and do a bunch of different things and be prepared. I think everyone's playing very selfless, just helping each other out, being where they are supposed to be and then showing up,” said Patriots safety Devin McCourty after the game.
The Patriots offense would add one more touchdown in the form of a Brady screen pass to James White as new England would cruise to the win, 43-0.
Next Up
