NEW: Patriots Trade Collins to Cleveland for 3rd Round Pick

Jamie Collins has been traded to Cleveland
The New England Patriots have traded linebacker Jamie Collins to the Cleveland Browns for a third round draft pick, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. 

Collins was drafted in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Patriots and was at the end of his rookie contract. 

The Patriots offered Collins an $11 million deal per year, but he turned it down, according to multiple reports.

The franchise tag for linebackers is set to be about $15 million next year. 

Jamie Collins This Season

Through seven games this season, Collins has 43 tackles, one sack, three passes defensed and two interceptions for the Patriots. 

Against Buffalo, Collins only played 48 of 70 defensive snaps and came off the field when the Bills used fullback Jerome Felton in run-based packages.
