Patriots Quarterback Update: Both Garoppolo, Brissett Active in Practice

New England Patriots quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett each threw multiple passes to stationary targets during the media portion of Patriots practice on Wednesday afternoon. 

Both quarterbacks started out with quick short passes before starting to push the ball as far as 30 yards down the field. 

"You know, I'm just taking it day by day right now. Trying to get to my best of ability on Sunday," Garoppolo said prior to practice.

Garoppolo is coming back from a sprained AC joint which he suffered in New England's week two game against the Miami Dolphins. 

Jacoby Brissett is coming back from a right thumb sprain that he suffered during the Patriots win against Houston. His thumb was wrapped during the practice. 

Both Garoppolo and Brissett were listed as limited participants on the Patriots Wednesday injury report, the first of the week.

The following players were all limited participants n the Patriots full padded practice on Wednesday. 

QB Jacoby Brissett (right thumb), OT Marcus Cannon (calf), G Jonathan Cooper (foot), LB Jonathan Freeny (shoulder), QB Jimmy Garoppolo (right shoulder), TE Rob Gronkowski (hamstring), LB Dont'a Hightower (knee) and CB Eric Rowe (ankle.)

The entire 53-man roster as well as all ten practice squad players were in attendance.

The New England Patriots will host AFC East rival Buffalo on Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium. The game will be the Patriots final game before Tom Brady returns from suspension. 

Kick off is set for 1 p.m.
