PC Hockey Gets #4 Overall Seed in NCAA Tourney, Will Play in Worcester

The Providence College Friars men's hockey team has been given the number 4 overall seed in the NCAA tournament and will play Minnesota-Duluth on Friday, March 25 at 4:30 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN3

The game will be played at the DCU Center in Worcester. 

The Friars are the defending National Champions and will look to be the first team to repeat as champs since Denver did it in 2004-05.

The number one overall seed in the tournament is Quinnipiac. 

Catching up With Friars Hockey 

Providence went 27-6-4 this season, including 16-3-3 in conference play. 

PC advanced to the semifinals of the Hockey East Tournament before falling 2-1 to UMass-Lowell in triple OT at the TD Garden in Boston. 

That was the first triple OT game the Friars had played since 1985.
