Tom Brady's 4-Game Deflategate Suspension Reinstated by US Appeals Court

Tom Brady to serve 4 game suspension
The United States Court of Appeals has reinstated Tom Brady's 4 game Deflategate suspension, the court announced on Monday.

"We hold that the Commissioner properly exercised his board discretion under the collective bargaining agreement and that his procedural rulings were properly founded in that agreement and did not deprive Brady of fundamental fairness. Accordingly, we REVERSE the judgement of the district court and REMAND with instructions to confirm the award," the court said in their statement.

Brady will be eligible to play in the preseason and in training camp but will not play his first regular season game until Sunday, October 9 when the Patriots visit Cleveland.

Tom Brady's original 4 game suspension was overturned in September of 2015 by Judge Richard Berman. The NFL then decided to appeal further.

The Patriots signed Brady to a two-year extension in February that would keep him in New England through 2019.
