NFL Power Rankings - Week of November 7, 2019

See who ranks #1
We are now in November and the Patriots suffered their first loss in almost one full calendar year. The last time the Pats lost was December 16, 2018, in Pittsburgh.

It’s jarring to Patriots Nation and it does put some more intrigue into how we see this team.

Head coach Bill Belichick, in true Belichickian form, summed it up on Monday’s conference call:

“I think I covered this, but all the way across the board in all three phases of the game – offense, defense, special teams – certainly the coaching and the playing and fundamentals all could be and need to be better. So, that goes for every position, every player, every coach. We’ve just got to do a better job. I don’t know how else to put that except that’s the truth,” said Belichick.

Before Sunday night’s dominating victory by the Ravens, there was talk of 16-0 and a historic team here in New England. Now, to listen to local sports radio and the mainstream media, the Patriots have been exposed and will now go on a losing streak. Let’s pump the brakes on that one right there. The Patriots have a bye week before facing the Eagles in Philly.

It is troubling that the Patriots have given up 210 and 159 yards on the ground in back-to-back weeks to the Ravens and Browns respectively. But, as we all know here in New England, time and some extra self-scouting usually do wonders for Bill Belichick’s crew and a mid-season loss isn’t exactly a bad thing in the grand scheme of things where a Super Bowl Championship is the only goal.

And with that, it’s on to the Week 10 Power Rankings!
