Red Sox Porcello Wins AL Cy Young Award

Rick Porcello wins AL Cy Young
Boston Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello is the winner of the AL Cy Young Award, Major League Baseball announced on Wednesday night. 

The Cy Young is the first of his career. 

Porcello went 22-4 on the season with an ERA of 3.15 and 189 strikeouts to lead the Red Sox into the playoffs.

He becomes the fourth Red Sox all-time to win a Cy Young award and the first to win the award since Pedro Martinez in 2000.
