Revs Beat Sounders 2-1 at Gillette Stadium

The New England Revolution (3-7-4) defeated the (4-1-7) Seattle Sounders 2-1 on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium. 

With the game tied 1-1 in the 80th minute, The Rev's Femi Hollinger-Janzen fired a low shot just inside the post that beat Seattle keeper Stefan Frei and gave New England a 2-1 lead. The goal was his second in the last three games. 

Prior to that, the Revolution trailed 1-0 early in the first half after an Aaron Kova goal.

New England tied the game up in the 24th minute after a Lee Nguyen penalty kick. 

Seattle was without Clint Dempsey and Nelson Valdez who were playing for their respective international teams. 

The Revs return to action on Saturday, June 18 when they visit the Vancouver White Caps at BC Place Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
