Revs Earn Draw With Timbers After Own Goal

The New England Revolution (1-2-6) got themselves a 1-1 draw with the defending MLS Champion (2-3-3) Portland Timbers on Wednesday night at Gillette Stadium. The Revs have one win through 9 games.

With time winding down in the game, New England's Kelyn Rowe volleyed the ball to the far post where it looked like Femi Hollinger-Janzen converted it for his first goal. However, it was ruled that the ball went off of Portland's Jermaine Taylor and therefore would be ruled an own goal.

Prior to that, the Timbers took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Jack Barmby in the 64th minute after he converted a cross from Darlington Nagbe.
