Revs Fall 1-0 to New York City FC

The New England Revolution (5-6-7) fell 1-0 to first place (8-5-6) New York City FC on Wednesday night at Gillette Stadium.

New York scored the game's only goal in the 58th minute after Thomas McNamara got to a chipped ball near the goal line and was able to redirect it off of Frank Lampard's leg. The goal was Lampard's 3rd in the last four games. 

The Revs best chance to score came in the 30th minute when Teal Bunbury's open header went over the crossbar.

New England keeper Bobby Shuttleworth was shown a red card in the 94th minute after he tripped Khiry Shelton during a goal scoring chance. 

The Revs return to action on Saturday, July 9 when they host the Columbus Crew at Gillette Stadium. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
