Revs Get Shut Out by Union, 3-0

The New England Revolution (0-1-2) fell 3-0 to the (2-1-0) Philadelphia Union on Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia. The loss snaps New England's three game winning streak at Talen Energy Stadium. 

The Union's C.J. Sapong netted two goals in the first half to put the Union up 2-0. The first goal came in the 18th minute off of a cross from Fabinho, while the second goal came in the 33rd minute off of a cross from Warren Creavalle. 

The Revolution had a chance to get one goal back in the 35th minute, however, Lee Nguyen's free kick hit both hosts before rebounding out.

Playing with 10 

The Revolution had to play the majority of the game with 10 players after Je-Vaughn Watson was thrown out of the game for a studs-up challenge on Roland Alberg. 

After that, the Revs were not able to get much going and Philadelphia's Sebastien Le Toux sealed the match with a goal int he 93rd minute.

The Revs return to action on Saturday, March 26 when they vista New york City FC at Yankee Stadium.
