Revs Get Shut Out, Fall 3-0 to D.C. United

The New England Revolution (1-2-5) fell 3-0 to (2-3-3) D.C. United on Saturday evening at RFK Memorial Stadium in Washington D.C. United played without head coach Ben Olsen, who served his one game suspension for stepping on the field last week. Assistant coach Chad Ashton was in charge. 

United's Marcelo Sarvas drew a penalty on a run up the right side when he was fouled by Je-Vaughn Watson. The play resulted with a Lamar Neagle penalty kick in the 33rd minute which he buried in the left corner of the net. 

D.C. United would add two more goals in the second half, Luciano Acosta in the 86th minute and then Alvaro Saborio int he 90th minute on a breakaway to seal the win.

New England's Chris Tierney left the game prior to halftime with a leg injury. 

The Revolution return to action on Wednesday, April 27 when they host the Portland Timbers at 7:30 p.m.
