Feb. 3 URI 68, UMass 50 at the Ryan Center

URI dominated right from the start of the game, jumping out to an 11-0 lead after a Four McGlynn three went down with 12:13 left in the first half.

The Rams were up 24-6 with 7:37 to play in the half and held a 34-12 lead at halftime.

UMass got back within 10 points, 45-35, with 11:21 to play but that is as close as they would get.

Jared Terrell led URI with 15 points while Kuran Iverson followed up with 13.

Feb. 2 UMass 61, URI 56 at UMass

Four McGlynn hit a three with ten seconds left in the game to give URI a 51-50 lead in the game.

On UMass' next possession, Trey Davis was fouled and made one of his two free throws to tie it up at 51 with three seconds left.

UMass scored the first 6 points of the overtime period and took at 57-51 lead with 1:38 to go.

The Rams would get no closer than five points in the extra frame.

Jared Terrell led URI with 23 points while Four McGlynn followed up with 13 points.

What URI needs to do to Win

The Rams will look to play solid defense but will need their big three, Jared Terrell, Jarvis Garrett and Four McGlynn to do most of the heavy lifting on offense.

Terrell led URI in scoring all season, averaging 13.6 points per game while Garrett averaged 12.7 points per game and had the third bed field goal percentage in the conference.

Garrett has tallied 142 assists this season.

If the Rams can get Four McGlynn some early looks, he can heat up from beyond the arc.

If McGlynn gets hot, URI can compete with anyone.

Andre Berry
Player to Watch: Andre Berry

Over the last three games, Andrew Berry is averaging 10 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting 87% from the field.

Berry had a total of 19 points in 63 minutes of action through the first 28 games of the season.

Late in the season, Berry has given the injury riddled Rams a big lift off the bench.

A URI Win and..

If URI beats UMass tonight, they will face the number two seed in VC on Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
