The University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team defeated a weak University of Albany team on Friday night at the Ryan Center.

The Rams (3-1) fell behind by nine points seven minutes into the game.  URI turned 16 UAlbany miscues into a 21-11 edge in points off turnovers.

URI is now 3-1, and Albany is 1-3.

An area of concern is the Rams' shooting. URI shot 42% from the field and just 24% from behind the 3-point line.
