Yale’s Coach James Jones said, "A disappointing loss for us, having a 10-point lead in the second half and squandering it. I thought Rhode Island did a really good job with what they do best. We didn't handle their pressure well and turned the ball over too much, which ultimately led to our defeat."

Turning Point

After Yale’s Jordan Brathwaite's three-pointer tied the game at 64 with 9:49 left in the second half, the Rams quickly responded with a 7-0 run to take a 71-64 lead. Yale answered with five straight points, including three from Samson Aletan, but Rhode Island went on another 7-0 run, extending the advantage to 78-69 and putting the game out of reach. The Rams shot 58.6% (17-of-29) from the field and 55.6% (5-of-9) from three-point range in the second half.
