With No Leland King, Brown Bears Fall to UNH 68-61

The Brown Bears men's basketball team (8-8) fell 68-61 on the road to the (7-8) New Hampshire Wildcats on Thursday night. Brown played without their leading scorer, Leland King, who missed the game due to injury.

Brown's Rafael Maia knocked down two free throws with just under two minutes to play to put Brown up 61-60 however, they would not score another point the rest of the way. New Hampshire's Jay Bramanti knocked down a three pointer with 1:37 left to put New Hampshire up 63-61 and Tanner Lassiter knocked down another shot from beyond the arc on the next UNH possession to put the Wildcats up 66-61 and seal the win.

Rafael Maia led the Bears with 15 points on four of six shooting from the field and seven of eight from the free throw line. Cedric Kuakumensah followed up with a double-double, netting 13 points and ten rebounds. Kuakumensah also added three blocked shots to his stat line. 

Jacoby Armstrong led the Wildcats with 17 points, Jay Bamanti pulled down 11 rebounds in the New Hampshire win .

The Brown Bears return to action on Monday, January 12 when they host Lyndon State in the final non-league game of the season. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
