BankRI Hires Kevin Chamberlain as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending

BankRI has bolstered its Commercial Banking Group, hiring longtime financial professional Kevin Chamberlain to the position of Senior Vice President, Commercial Lender. Chamberlain joined the Bank’s team in mid-March and works out of its Turks Head office in downtown Providence.

In his role, Chamberlain manages an existing portfolio of clients and focuses on developing new commercial relationships within the local market. He specializes in delivering individualized financial products that help businesses grow and provides expertise for capital strategy and risk management solutions. During this career, Kevin has significant experience working with companies with annual sales of $20 million and more.

Prior to BankRI, Kevin spent more than 14 years with Citizens Bank in roles that include Vice President, Corporate Banking, and SVP, Commercial Banking. He has earned and holds FINRA 63 and 79 licenses through the North American Securities Administrators Association.

“Kevin brings valuable lending experience to our commercial banking group as we further position ourselves as the strong and trusted bank for local businesses,” said Will Tsonos, President and CEO of BankRI. “Just as importantly, Kevin has proven to be a relationship builder who places a premium on customer service, which is the foundation of who we are as a bank. He’s a great addition to the team.”

A resident of North Kingstown and the proud father of three boys, Kevin holds a BA from Brown University and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce.
