YWCA Rhode Island is proud to announce the appointment of Lisa Piscatelli as its next Executive Director, bringing over a decade of YWCA experience and a distinguished record of executive leadership to the role. Lisa, a Mansfield, Mass resident, will officially begin her new position in September.

Lisa's deep-rooted commitment to the YWCA mission—eliminating racism and empowering women—along with her impressive professional background, makes her an ideal choice to guide the organization into its next chapter. From her beginnings as editor of YWCA She Shines™ Magazine, a publication celebrating the aspirations and accomplishments of women, to her recent role as YWCA Chief Operating Officer, Lisa has consistently demonstrated the vision, compassion, and operational expertise critical for advancing YWCA’s impact.

Throughout her tenure, Lisa has led initiatives that increased public awareness of issues affecting women and under-resourced groups, co-created award-winning media campaigns, and championed programs focused on gender equality, youth enrichment, and social justice. Her leadership has extended beyond the YWCA, including service as Executive Director of the Attleboro Area Interfaith Collaborative, where she fostered partnerships to alleviate hunger and promote interfaith collaboration.

YWCA Board Chair Nancy Benson shared, “Lisa brings an exceptional skill set to the post, along with the experience and dedication to our mission that will ensure continued success for both her and our organization. We are thrilled to welcome her into this role.”

“I am honored to continue my journey with the YWCA,” said Piscatelli. “It’s a privilege to lead such a remarkable organization and  team—one that is passionate, collaborative, and driven to uplift our communities.”

Lisa succeeds long-time CEO Deborah Perry, whose leadership helped shape the organization’s direction and impact over many years.

Locations: YWCA has physical locations in Woonsocket, Central Falls, Providence, and Coventry.
