RISD to Host Industrial Design Conference Featuring Local Innovators

Matt Glendinning, PhD, head of Moses Brown School
The Rhode Island School of Design will host the Industrial Designers Society of America Northeast District Design Conference titled “The Unexpected Conference.”

The conference, which is being held from March 31 to April 1 will feature national and local design innovators.

“The Unexpected Conference will draw designers from major design hubs in several states—and offer wonderful collaborations, fortuitous conversations and surprising new solutions. Be inspired and rub elbows with design’s most talented students and professionals; co-create with top design organizations; and learn about the latest design tools and techniques,”  said Ayse Birsel, IDSA—NEDDC chair and IDSA board of directors NE District vice president; co-founder of Birsel+Seck design studio; award-winning designer; and author.
