US Unemployment Rate Hits 8-Year Low

The US unemployment rate hit an 8-year low of 4.9% in January 2016. The economy added 151,000 jobs, a slowdown from the 250,000 per month figures during the fourth quarter of 2015.

GDP grew by just 0.7% in the fourth quarter, as the economy was hampered by global volatility and falling oil prices.

GoLocal teamed up with Graphiq to take a closer look at unemployment in the US.
