United Way of RI to Offer Free Assistance with Medicare Open Enrollment
Those seeking help can attend any one of five scheduled open enrollment events.
The open enrollment period started on October 15 and ends on December 7.

The open enrollment period is the only time in which individuals can make changes to their health and prescription plans for 2020.
During UWRI’s open enrollment events – each scheduled for a Saturday at the organization’s Providence office at 50 Valley Street – Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) counselors will be available for one-on-one, confidential consultations.
Counselors will answer questions about coverage and plan options, and will provide assistance with enrollment.
Those interested in getting help must make an appointment in advance by calling 2-1-1 or The POINT at (401) 462-4444.
Each event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the following dates:
- Saturday, October 26
- Saturday, November 2
- Saturday, November 9
- Saturday, November 16
- Saturday, December 7
