United Way of RI Set to Invest Over $459K in Summer Learning Programs

The United Way of Rhode Island is set to invest $459,600 in summer learning programs that support local children and families.

The Pawtucket Family YMCA and Hasbro Inc. will partner with United Way in the investment.

The official announcement will take place on Thursday, July 11 at 2 p.m. at the Pawtucket Family YMCA.

Investment Announcement

The announcement takes place during National Summer Learning Week.

It will feature Cortney Nicolato, President & CEO, United Way of Rhode Island, Kevin Colman, Director, Global Philanthropy and Social Impact, Hasbro, Inc., and Charles Clifford, Chief Executive Officer, Pawtucket YMCA.

During the announcement, participants will highlight the realities of summer learning loss for teachers and children, as well as the toll on working parents and employers when children do not have access to summer learning programs.
