That’s it.

The mantra is Joy to the world, Peace on earth, and The most wonderful time of the year. So follow those guidelines.

Don’t get stressed about getting last-minute gifts, being stuck in traffic, or anything else that causes holiday stress.

Be present with your family. Get outside. Be active together. Play games. Make memories.

Even if you have bad memories, such as the losses of loved ones, that could make this a depressing time of year, say a prayer for them, embellish in fond memories, and give your time and energy to the ones that are in your life now.

Don’t spend time thinking about workouts or worrying about what you eat.

What you do over the next few days won’t make a difference in the long run.

It’s what you do consistently that matters. Just be sure to get back on track starting next week.

Take a day or 2 (at most), indulge in the things you love, then get back to your normal routine.

Continue to keep some good habits and minimize the damage by staying hydrated, getting some sleep, and getting your first post-Christmas workout in the calendar.

Also, take some time to reflect back, look at the wins over the past year, assess the losses, and create a plan to be better in the New Year.

Don’t just think of some bottomless promise, either. Put pen to paper over the next couple of days, write out some goals, and create a plan to conquer your goals in 2023.

Also, be sure to watch A Christmas Story & It’s a Wonderful Life at least 2x each. Those movies always put me in a good mood, so be sure to relax and get some holiday entertainment in during the season.

I hope you have an amazing weekend filled with joy!
