5-Year-Old Hit by Vehicle in Warwick - Police Investigating

Warwick Police said that a child was hit by a car in the city on Thursday. 

According to police, at approximately 3:00 PM, Warwick Police and Warwick Fire Department personnel responded to Boylston Street for a report of a 5-year-old child who had been struck by a vehicle. 

Police say the vehicle involved initially left the scene but the operator and vehicle did return a short time later.

The child was transported to Hasbro with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, say police.
