UPDATED: Motorcyclist Dies of Injuries After Collision With Auto in Warwick

Warwick Police report that a collision on Toll Gate Road in Warwick on Saturday at about 9:30 AM has resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.

“Warwick Police Department responded to a crash in the area of 390 Toll Gate Rd. This crash involved a motorcycle and a car,” according to the press release. “The car, traveling westbound on Toll Gate Rd, attempted to make a left-hand turn into the parking lot at 390 Toll Gate Rd when the motorcycle, also traveling westbound on Toll Gate Rd, collided with the car. The motorcycle struck the rear of the car.”

 

The 29-year-old motorcycle operator was transported to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center by the Warwick Fire Department. He later succumbed to the injuries, Warwick Police Chief Michael Lima confirmed to GoLocal.

 

This is an active investigation.
