According to the RIDOH disciplinary action:

Buono is an Emergency Medical Technician – Cardiac, licensed in the State of Rhode Island under license number EMT 15663, and as an ERS-Endotracheal, licensed in the State of Rhode Island under license number ERS 15663.

On or about May 8, 2025, while {Buono] was employed as an Emergency Medical Technician–Cardiac and/or as an ERS-Endotracheal at a medical respite facility where he had access to patient medication, [Buono] stole two 7.5 mg of Mounjaro injections that belong to a patient at the facility.

After considering the above facts, the Director of the Rhode Island Department Health finds that public health, safety, and welfare imperatively requires emergency action.

Buono is now suspended "until further order."

The enforcement action was signed by the RIDOH Director of Health Jerome Larkin.
