Gov. Gina Raimondo's 38 Studios Deposition and Exhibits
Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo's deposition was part of the thousands of documents released on Thursday -- and much of the focus was on her concerns regarding the deal at its outset -- and who she shared them with.

Raimondo had been at Point Judith Capital -- and running for General Treasurer -- at the time the 38 Studios deal was being ushered through in 2010.
Raimondo's deposition focuses on how in 2010, as the General Assembly and the EDC was pushing through the deal, she reached out to former EDC Director Keith Stokes to say that she thought the deal was high risk (but since she had experience investing, she offered to help) and provides some additional detail of what transpired when she met with him.
Raimondo was asked about conversations she had with Karl Wadenstein -- and whether she spoke with labor leader George Nee -- and what type of objections she had voiced to Stokes in 2010.
Political Factors
Go Local reported that 38 Studios consultant First Southwest, who was retained by the state after being sued, was being utilized by Raimondo as recently as this summer as she works to push through an infrastructure funding plan.
During the gubernatorial campaign, Republican opponent Allan Fung criticized Raimondo for advocating for the payback of the 38 Studios bond bonds.
