UPDATED: 19-Year-Old Male Dies Following Shooting Off Atwells Avenue in Providence

Providence Police responded to a shooting off Atwells Avenue in Providence on Saturday.

According to police, a 19-year-old male was sitting by Maplehurst and Academy Avenues in his vehicle shortly after 2 p.m. when he was shot from another vehicle driving by.

The subject, who was initially reported to be in serious condition at Rhode Island Hospital, has died, according to police.
