Shots Fired

On Sunday morning at approximately 2 AM, police responded to Manton Avenue and Aleppo Street for a report of shots fired where a white vehicle was reported to have fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

Two subjects were observed by police running across the road and up the stairs to a home on Aleppo Street. At this time police followed the subjects up the stairs where he made contact with them before they were able to enter the address.

Police made contact with the male subject, and observed him to be "visibly nervous," and escorted the subject down to his marked police vehicle where he was patted down for officer safety, and felt a hard rectangular object with a flared bottom and a narrowed top that came to a conical point.

Police recognized this object to be a loaded magazine and retrieved it and placed the subject in handcuffs and then into the back of a marked police vehicle.

Police then located multiple spent 9mm cartridge casings on the ground.  Police then performed a patdown of the female subject then secured her in the back of a marked police vehicle.

Police spoke to both subjects who stated that there had been an argument between two groups of girls at which time a firearm was brandished. Both subjects said that the parties had fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Both of the subjects and witnesses were interviewed by detectives and it was determined that there would be no charges.
