Police Identify Man Shot and Killed in Providence Overnight -- Seeking More Information

A man was shot and killed in Providence overnight -- and police are asking the public if they have additional information.

Latest Homicide 

On Monday morning at approximately 3:15 a.m., Providence Police responded to Roger Williams Green for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, police found an unresponsive male in the courtyard who was later identified as Carl Bryant, age 33.  Bryant was pronounced deceased on scene. 

A second victim was located in an apartment who was struck by a stray round, identified as Julie Boyd, age 50. Boyd was transported to RI Hospital for a gunshot wound to the arm.

Bryant is believed to live in Providence, however he has addresses in Brockton and Pennsylvania as well.
