Police Make Multiple Gun Arrests on Patrol Outside Providence Nightclub

Police said two arrests occurred as they were patrolling the area surrounding Ibiza Lounge off of Broad Street.

First Arrest Outside Club
Shortly after midnight Saturday morning, police on patrol by Ibiza Lounge said they saw a man standing next to the open trunk of a vehicle on Conduit Street.
Police said they observed the man grab an object from his waistband that appeared to be a gun and place it in the trunk.
According to police, when they approached the man, later identified as Terrance Nixon, he said he was at the trunk to change his shoes.
Police said that upon searching the vehicle, they found marijuana, open alcohol containers, and upon searching the trunk, found a loaded gun and magazine.
Nixon was taken to Central Station without incident and turned over to detectives for charging.
Second Arrest Outside Club
At approximately 2 AM Saturday morning, police on patrol outside Ibiza Loung said they observed a heavily tinted vehicle driving on Summer Street fail to use a turn signal; police said they followed the vehicle and saw it go through a stop sign at Hayward and Pearl Streets.
Police said upon conducting a traffic stop, that the driver -- identified as Randy Pizarro, age 30 -- said they had just left Ibiza and were driving home to Massachusetts.
According to police, the driver appeared nervous; police said they observed open containers of alcohol in the vehicle.
Police said they asked vehicle occupants to step outside; a search of the vehicle yielded a loaded gun and magazine as well as suspected narcotics.
Pizarro was transported to Central Station and turned over to the narcotics bureau for charging.
