Shots Reported on East Side of Providence Off Hope Street

Providence Police are looking into reports of shots fired over the weekend on the East Side of Providence. 

The incident happened on Saturday evening at around 9 PM. 

A woman driving a car said while she was on North Avenue approaching Hope Street, that she saw a passenger in a car in front of her brandish a pistol out the window.

She said that as that vehicle approached Bayard Street, she heard a loud gunshot, and saw the vehicle take off.

Police are currently investigating the incident.
