Thanksgiving Day Armed Robbery Reported in Providence

Providence Police are investigating a report of an armed robbery on Thanksgiving in the city. 

About Incident 

Shortly after 7:30 PM on Thursday, police responded to East Drive -- off Admiral Street close to the North Providence line -- for a report of a robbery.

Police met with four victims, who said they were walking when a male suspect approached them and robbed them at gunpoint. 

According to the victims, the suspect pointed a gun at them, demanded they get on the ground, and hand over their belongings.

The victims reportedly were robbed of cash, debit and credit cards, and jewelry. 

They told police that the suspect then fled on foot. 

Police are currently investigating.

Latest During Thanksgiving Week 

On Thanksgiving eve, GoLocal reported that a man was arrested for reportedly assaulting -- and biting -- a Providence Police officer after getting thrown out of a bar.

Police also reported that a female pedestrian was struck -- twice -- on Wednesday night.
