Top Bernie Sanders Staffer to Keynote Prov NAACP Dinner
Sanders, photo: FlckrSymone Sanders, Democratic strategist and former Communications Director for Senator Bernie Sanders will be the keynote speaker for 104th Annual Freedom Fund Awards Gala of the Providence Chapter of the NAACP.
Recently honored by Fusion Magazine as one of “30 women under 30” impacting the 2016 election, Sanders is one of 16 young Americans shaping the 2016 presidential election by Rolling Stone Magazine.
The event will be held onFriday, October 28, at 5:00 p.m.Marriott Hotel, Orms Street in Providence
Sanders joins a diverse list of Freedom Fund speakers that includes that includes Civil Rights leader and Congressman John Lewis, Actress Viola Davis and Journalist Ed Gordon.
Awards will also be presented to individuals for their achievements in civil rights and on behalf of the community.
