Two people were stabbed in Providence overnight.

Police responded to a call for a disturbance on Stuben Street in Olneyville after 8 PM on Monday.

Shortly afterward, a male and a female went to the Rhod Island Hospital emergency room with stab wounds.

The victims' injuries were believed to be related to the incident on Stuben Street.

A suspect is in custody and police are investigating.
