VIDEO: Police Identify 15-Year-Old Who Was Shot and Killed Over Weekend

Providence Police have identified the 15-year-old shot and killed in the city over the weekend. 

According to Major David Lapatin, police received a call shortly after 11 PM Saturday night for a person shot on Wallace Avenue. 

Police encountered victim Ger’Vontae Tilson, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

UPDATED: 15-Year-Old Killed Saturday Night Was Likely Targeted, According to Providence Police

“He was there with two people and as far as assailant — [there was] at least one, maybe two or more,” said Lapatin. It does appear to be targeted.”
