With the game tied at 2 in the second overtime period, Boston’s Charlie McAvoy fired a  shot from the blue line that was tipped by David Backes before hitting Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson's skate in front of goalie Craig Anderson.

The puck bounced out just in front of the crease where Kuraly backhanded it in to keep the Bruins alive. The goal was Kuraly’s second of the game and of his career.

The game winner came after the Bruins thought they had the game won in the first overtime on a goal by Noel Acciari. However, the goal was wave off due to goalie interference when Kuraly tripped over Anderson. The Bruins challenged the call, but the ruling was upheld.

Bruins Rally in 2nd

The Ottawa Senators took a 2-0 lead just 30 seconds into the second period before storming back.

Brad Marchand  took the puck behind the Senators net and made a wrap around pass to David Pastrnak, who beat Anderson to cut the Bruins deficit to 2-1.

The Bruins would tie it on Kuraly’s first ever NHL goal with 2:55 left in the second period to tie the game at 2.

Game 6 is set for Sunday, April 23 at TD Garden in Boston.
