Bryant Football Hosts Robert Morris to Open Conference Play

The Bryant Bulldogs football team is set to open up conference play on Saturday afternoon when they host (1-2) Robert Morris.

Bryant enters the game with a record of 2-1 overall after a win over Marist last week.

"I think we are getting better each week, this will be a great test for us. Robert Morris has a new coaching staff, they have really pumped a lot of energy into the program and you can see that in the first three games," Bryant head coach James Perry told GoLocalProv.

Game time is set for 1 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN3.

Bryant vs Robert Morris

Saturday’s game will be the 11th meeting all-time between the two programs with Bryant leading the series 8-2.

Bryant is 5-0 at home in the series.

Last season, the Bulldogs scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to win the game 42-17.

Bryant Offense

The Bulldogs offense has been led all season by senior quarterback Price Wilson, who became the fifth player in program history to throw for 4,000 yards in a career last week.

Wilson has 4,200 passing yards in 14 career games.

"I think he has really developed nicely. End of last year started he to play really well and then the team started playing better. The first three games this season he has played well. He had a good week of practice this week so looking forward to more of the same on Saturday," said Perry. 

So far this season, he has thrown for 889 yards and nine touchdowns and averages nearly 30 completions per game.

Redshirt junior Jean Constant hauled in six passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns last week and enters Saturday’s game ranked second in the country with six total touchdowns o the season.

Against Marist, Constant became the ninth player in program history with 1,000 receiving yards.

Bryant Defense

The Bryant defense enters the game allowing an average of 36 points per game.

They also have allowed 240 passing yards per game and 164 rushing yards per game so far this season.

The Bulldogs will be led by Thomas Costigan, who has 26 tackles on the season.

Last week, he became the 11th player in program history to reach the 200-tackle milestone.
