Former Celtic Gerald Wallace Named Biggest Dead Weight in NBA

Gerald Wallce
Even though the Boston Celtics are coming off a season in which they returned to the playoffs,  there's still something (or someone) they can point to as a weakness.

Apparently, that's former Celtics forward Gerald Wallace.

Sports data experts PointAfter has put together a list of the "biggest dead weight" for each NBA team from the 2014 season.

Among all 32 teams in the NBA, Wallace was ranked #1 biggest dead weight gone from his previous team.

Here’s what PointAfter said: “Gerald Wallace, who made an All-Star team back in 2010 as a member of the Charlotte Bobcats, didn't provide value in Boston. The small forward known as "Crash" for his reckless style of play has seen his skills deteriorate rather drastically in recent years."

He played just 32 games for the Celtics last season, averaging 1.1 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest. Boston's front office shipped him to Golden State during the offseason in exchange for another former All-Star forward: David Lee (another guy on this list). The Warriors then flipped Wallace to the Philadelphia 76ers. He could be a valuable veteran sage to the youngsters in Philly, but it's unlikely he'll get much court time.”
