Kris Dunn led the Friars with a new career high of 24 points and added six assists. However, Providence only shot 39 percent from the field and 55 percent from the free throw line on their way to a loss. All six of Dunn's assists came in the first half.

After getting off to a red hot start for the Friars, Henton has now only hit five of his last 24 shots for PC after only hitting one shot against Kentucky.
For Boston College, Olivier Hanlan had 24 points to lead the Eagles to their fourth win of the season. Hanlan only had six points in the second half however.
Next up, the Friars will look to bounce back from this two game skid when they host in-state rival Brown University on on Monday, December 8 at 9 p.m. The game will be televised on Fox Sports one.

Five Takeaways From the Friars 69-60 Loss to BC
Kris Dunn
Kris Dunn had a career high 24 points on 10 of 13 shooting from the floor against Boston College. This was by far, Dunn's best offensive game of the season.
He added four steals, three rebounds and six assists to his stat line however after the first half it looked like he was going to have an easy double-double.
Dunn did not record and assist in the second half of the game after having ten points and six assists in the first half.
Could have been better, but a bounce back game for Dunn after his ten turnover performance against Kentucky.
Freshmen Struggles
The freshmen really struggled in this game on the road against Boston College. Jalen Lindsey, Kyron Cartwright, Junior Lomomba, Ben Bentil and Paschal Chukwu combined for five points and seven rebounds in the game.
Cartwright, who has started every game this season for PC, missed all four shots he took from the field, didn't get to the free throw line and missed the only shot he took from beyond the arc. He has yet to hit a three-pointer in his college career.
These struggles are going to happen with the freshmen players, especially on the road in true road games. The veteran players are going to have to step up in these cases and in this game they were unable to do it.
LaDontae Henton
Senior LaDontae Henton started the season on fire putting up 25-30 points per game on a consistent basis.
However, over the last two games Henton has a combined 12 points and has only made 5 of his last 24 shots. In this game against Boston College, he went 4 for 16 from the field including one for six from three point land.
Teams are going to start playing Henton tight, trying to shut him down using their best defender. Henton is going to have to find ways to get open and get the shots that he wants going forward.
PC can't afford to have him not scoring.
Rebounding
Boston College was a big team and maybe had a slight advantage coming into the game, however, not a 41-28 advantage. BC had 12 second chance points in the game compared to the Friars three.
Senior Carson Desrosiers led Providence with six rebounds in the game and LaDontae Henton followed up with five but that is not nearly good enough.
Tyler Harris only had three rebounds in 32 minutes and Ben Bentil only had two rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench.
PC needs their big men to step up and rebound.
Defense
Boston College came into this game with an average shooting percentage of 40% from the floor. In this game, the Eagles shot 50% from the floor, 58% percent in the first half.
BC led the Friars 38-28 in points in the paint as the Friars defense just let them waltz in and get what they were looking for. Of the 24 baskets the Eagles made, 19 of them were from the painted area.
The Friars were primarily in man to man defense in this game, maybe they should have gone to a zone. BC shoots 23% on average from beyond the arc so far this season.
