Governor's Cup Game Between Brown & URI Football to be Played at Night

Brown to face URI at night for Governor's Cup
The 102nd Governor’s Cup football game between Brown University and the University of Rhode Island will be played under the lights at Brown Stadium.

The game is set to take place on Saturday, September 30 at 7 p.m.

For the game, Brown Stadium will be equipped with three banks of portable Musco lights, with two banks of temporary lights on the home side of the stadium, and one bank of lights on the visitor's side.

Night Games at Brown Stadium

The Bears and Rams have played three previous night games at Brown, the last one taking place in 2015.

Overall, the Bears have played seven night games at Brown Stadium, playing Harvard in 2010, 2012 and 2014, and Princeton in 2013.

The Governor’s Cup

URI beat Brown last season 28-13 for their first Governor’s Cup win since 2010. Brown had won the previous five games.

Overall, the Bears lead the all-time series 72-27-2.
