This comes just a day after a lawsuit was filed against him claiming that he allegedly sexually assaulted and raped his former trainer, as GoLocalProv reported.
Brown officially joined the Patriots on Monday after being released by the Oakland Raiders on Saturday afternoon.
Belichick on Brown
Prior to opening up for questions, Belichick issued a brief statement on Brown's situation.
“On Antonio’s situation, both Antonio and his representatives have released statements and so I’m not going to be expanding on any of those. We have looked into the situation, we are taking it very seriously, all the way through the organization. I’m sure there are questions, but I’m not going to be entering a discussion about that today, “ Belichick said as part of his opening statement.
When asked further questions about Brown, Belichick continuously replied "we are working on Miami," and deferred to previous statements.
Belichick's press conference lasted a total of three minutes and 55 seconds.
Brown's Future
According to the Washington Post, the NFL is considering placing Brown on the commissioner’s exempt list.
A player put on that list can't play in games and cannot practice, but can go to team meetings and be at the team’s facility if the team allows.
Players previously placed on that list include Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, and Greg Hardy.
It is unclear when the NFL will make that decision.
