Patriots Injured Receiving Corps Accounts for 167 Catches, 18 TD's

Julian Edelman expected to return for playoffs
To say the New England Patriots are banged up, is an understatement. That goes double for the offensive side of the ball, where seemingly everybody but Tom Brady has missed time or has played multiple positions due to others being injured.

It all started with the offensive line with Nate Solder going out very early on in the season and Bryan Stork missing the first nine weeks with a concussion. Toss in Marcus Cannon missing a couple of games and Sebastian Vollmer missing a couple of games and it all adds up to the Patriots using nearly 30 different offensive line combinations so far this season.

However, the injuries that are now taking a toll are the injuries to the receiving core. Julian Edelman broke his foot in the game against the Giants, Danny Amendola went out with a leg injury against Buffalo and most recently Rob Gronkowski suffered a bruised knee  against Denver, though everyone in New England feared the worst.

All three are expected back, Edelman for the playoffs, Amendola potentially this week, and Gronkowski maybe in a week or two, no definite time table has been set.

Until then, the Patriots have a combined 167 catches and 18 touchdowns in street clothes with five games left to play and the number one seed in the AFC hanging in the balance.

GoLocal teams up with GraphIQ to take a closer look at what the Patriots offense is missing.
