Red Sox Fall to Dodgers 3-2 in Longest Game in Postseason History

It is the longest postseason game in history, ending just after 3:30 a.m. eastern time.
“It's not crushing at all, I just talked to the guys and told them how proud I was. It was a great baseball game, that was probably one of the best games I’ve ever been a part of,” said Red Sox manager Alex Cora after the game.

Red Sox Fall to Dodgers
With the game tied at two in the bottom of the 18th inning, LA’s Max Muncy hit a walk-off home run off Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi to give the Dodgers a 3-2 win in game three.
Eovaldi gave up the run after pitching seven innings and throwing 100 pitches out of the bullpen.
Blown Opportunity
With the game tied at one in the top of the 13th inning, Brock Holt worked a leadoff walk and then stole second.
Eduardo Nunez then hit an infield single and on a throwing error by LA pitcher Alexander, Holt scored to put the Red Sox up 2-1.
With two outs in the inning, the Red Sox got a double to right field by catcher Sandy Leon which moved Nunez to third. Mookie Betts was then intentionally walked to load the bases.
However, the Red Sox were unable to add to their lead as shortstop Xander Bogaerts grounded out.
In the bottom of the inning, the Red Sox were one out away from ending the game.
With two out and one man on second, Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi got LA’s Yasial Puig to hit a ground ball to shortstop Ian Kinsler.
Upon fielding the grounder, Kinsler was off balance and threw the ball past first baseman Christian Vazquez allowing Muncy to score and tie the game at two.
“It seemed like he was a little off balance when he got it. I mean he is one of the best defensive players in the game, he probably makes that play 100 times. He just threw that one away," said Cora after the game.
Game 4
Game four of the series is set for Saturday, October 27 in Los Angeles.
It is unclear who the starter will be for the Red Sox.
After the game Cora said that Saturday's starter was "TBA."
Game time is set for 8 p.m.
