Sky Chiefs Set to Close Regular Season, Prepare For Playoff Run
The Providence Sky Chiefs (12-7) get set to wrap up their regular season on Sunday when they travel to New Jersey to take on the Jersey Express. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. at East Side High School in Paterson.
Providence defeated New Jersey twice this season and will look for a third win over the Express in order to get back in the win column after suffering three straight losses.
After the game against New Jersey, Providence will get ready for the ABA playoffs in which they will host the first round of on March 21-22 at Brown University's Pizzitola Center.
The Sky Chiefs get a first round bye and then host the regionals with the first game taking place on Saturday, March 21 with two games. The first game will be held at 5 and the second game will be held at 7:30 p.m.
The winners of the two games will face each other on Sunday, March 22 at 2 p.m. in the Regional Championship.
The regional champion advances to the ABA Championship in Shreveport, LA which takes place from April 7-13.
But first, the Sky Chiefs will look to build some momentum by taking care of business in New Jersey.
