The steel framing for the new Brown athletic facility is taking shape, and it is massive.

Construction is now underway on the 76,000-square-foot "Indoor Turf Facility" in the Brown Athletics complex. It is located directly behind the Olney-Margolies Athletic Center and the Nelson Fitness Center. It is adjacent to the historic Stimson Avenue neighborhood.

The new facility eliminates the Meister-Kavan playing field.

Another portion of the Aldrich-Dexter field complex is being ripped up for a parking lot.

The $70-plus-million facility is scheduled to be completed in January of 2026.

The facility will be used for indoor practice for football, lacrosse, soccer, and other sports.
