With Season on the Line, Brown Basketball Beats Princeton and Penn

Going into the weekend, Brown was just 2-5 in the Ivy League, and two losses would have severely damaged any chance of making it to the top four in the Ivy League.
Only the top four make the conference playoffs and a chance for a bid to the NCAA tournament.

On Saturday, Brown (12-10, 4-5) completed a home weekend sweep with a wire-to-wire 82-72 win over Penn (6-16, 2-7).
"I thought it was a terrific win against a team that's playing really well," Head Men's Basketball Coaching Chair Mike Martin said. "Their physicality, their effort level, their compete level, Penn's a terrific team the way they're playing and we earned that win tonight. It wasn't easy, they challenged us at both ends of the court with their physicality and their execution."
Kino Lilly Jr. led the Bears with 23 points on 7-14 shooting and 5-8 from three-point range, the senior also had three rebounds and five assists. Landon Lewis chipped in with 20 points, seven rebounds, and five blocks. Five blocks for Lewis matched a career-high. The two combined to shoot 14-25 from the floor and combined to shoot 9-12 in the second half.
Brown is still in fifth but just a game out of the final playoff position.
Brown will conclude its four-game homestand when they welcome Columbia (Feb. 21) and Cornell (Feb. 22) to the Pizzitola Sports Center.
