Just thinking …
The big travel question for this Thanksgiving is not “bus, train or plane?” but “full body scan or pat down?”
The Rockettes Christmas spectacular that runs for a few more days at PPAC is a timeless delight. It cuts across all generations. An American iconic tradition that I, for one, hope lives on forever and returns to the Ocean State again and again.

The day should start out fine and most of it should stay that way but I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see some wet weather developing here after dark with snow and sleet mixing in the higher elevations. Traveling in Western Massachusetts, Western Connecticut and Vermont could become a problem with some snow and sleet in those areas moving west to east in the afternoon. The wintry weather may move into Central Massachusetts and New Hampshire toward evening.

I hope Governor-elect Chafee and the General Assembly realize that anytime they increase or impose a new tax it is not going to go away down the road. In fact, it probably will be increased. Case in point: the “temporary” increase in sales tax imposed to deal with the RISDIC “crisis” in the early ‘90s that later became permanent.
Both the PC and URI hoop seasons are off to pretty good starts, let’s hope it continues once they both get to the “iron” come December and January.
You must have noticed, as I have, how “season creep” is getting worse and worse each year. More than a few stores had their Christmas stuff out BEFORE Halloween and lo and behold I saw my first fully Christmas decorated house last weekend.
Weather Trivia Quiz Answer: That was just five years ago in 2005 when the official total was 2” with higher amounts north and west of Providence.
Ooooops … gotta go … I just heard some “gobbling” at the front door. Probably another turkey looking for asylum.
