NEW: Gas Prices Up a Penny

Gas prices inched up one cent this week, after dipping down a penny last week, according to the weekly survey by AAA Southern New England.

The average price of self-serve regular unleaded gas in Rhode Island was $3.56. A year ago it was $2.78.

The current national average is two cents higher than Rhode Island’s—$3.58.
